From intent to a garment that can be repeated.
Development is where a design becomes buildable — and where the decisions that will define its cost, its fit and its production risk are actually made.
Product development
Resolving what the garment is: silhouette, proportion, volume, how it closes, how it moves, what it must do for the person wearing it, and which references it is actually answering.
Technical development
Resolving how it is built: construction method, seam types, internal structure, materials and interlinings, measurement points, tolerances and the tech pack that records all of it.
Brands often ask for the second and need the first. A tech pack written before the product is resolved simply records an unresolved design more precisely.
Brief & reference review
We read what you have — images, sketches, a sample you like, a competitor product — and agree what is intent and what is incidental.
Silhouette development
Shape worked out on the stand or flat, tested against the cloth you intend to use rather than an ideal one.
Material direction
Candidate fabrics, linings and interlinings sourced against hand, weight, drape, width and price, with alternatives where risk is high.
Technical development
Construction decided and written: seam types, edge finishes, support layers, closures, labelling and measurement specification.
First pattern
Drafted or draped, then cut in toile or in the real cloth where the cloth is the design.
Proto sample
First full sample made, with a written comment sheet identifying what is fit, what is construction and what is design.
Fitting & correction
Corrections made to the pattern, not compensated for in sewing. Each round is recorded.
Pre-production sample
Made in production cloth, by the production method, to the production spec — then sealed.
Grading
Pattern graded across your size set with the rules written down and the set verified in cloth.
Costing
BOM, fabric consumption, trim, labour minutes and finishing, priced against the quantity you actually plan to order.

You can develop with us and manufacture elsewhere.
We would rather you did that than commit to production before the product is right. The tech pack and patterns we produce are written to be read by any competent factory, not coded to keep you here. Most brands stay because the development was good — which is the only reason worth staying for.
Bring us the idea, not the finished answer.
Development is the cheapest place to solve a problem. It is also the only place where the design still has room to move.
